Mini Album

So I finished the little Mother's Day mini album and will be holding a class on it on April 27th for those of you in town (RSVP by April 18th). I think this will make the best little gift for my mothers - they're going to love it!

Check out the gallery at http://scrapmountain-gallery.smugmug.com/gallery/4720080_LhWxF#279761891_ndH36 for more photos of this album.

Cosmo Cricket Layouts

Okay, so I worked on a few pages last night! I've been too busy to scrap much lately, so it was a ton of fun to get to sit and work after the kids went to bed. They're pretty simple. That Cosmo Cricket paper is a blast!!

Today I hope to get a little done on the peek-a-boo mini album...may have to wait till tomorrow. That's going to be so much fun!! I just love the acrylic and haven't ever really worked with it. We'll see how it goes.

whoosh

Wow! March was a blur! I can't believe how fast last month went by!

Timely blogging is apparently not a strength of mine! :)
March's kit was so much fun! Those lively colors and cool embellishments were really fun to use. I was able to finally get a few pages done, but have really lacked the time to sit and play in the past month.

April's kit is here (Check out our sneak peek page) and just waiting for our designers to get a hold of it and put together some amazing pages for us. I always get excited to see what they can do with the same kit! How cool is it that there are endless ways to use the same kit of goodies?!

Graciela competed yesterday in the Sport Stacking World Championships in Denver!! It was a great event that was so much fun for the kids. There were people from all over the world there. If you've never seen this new sport, you should check it out! These kids are incredibly fast! The fastest kid in the world (unless someone set a new record yesterday) is 10 years old!!! He's seriously incredible to watch! If you blink, you'll miss the whole event!

So I've got a ton of new photos to scrap - and I'm already envisioning that cool Cosmo Cricket paper for some great layouts.

I thought I'd be using the sweet flowers from Fancy Pants for my Easter photos, but Easter for us was not a flowery event! We spent the day at home with a very sick child, and it was snowing and cold outside! So I'll have to find another use for Fancy Pants! Maybe I can use January's Snowglobe paper for my Easter shots! :)

I'm trying to put together a cool little mini album using the new Tinkering Ink peek-a-boo album - it's a mix of chipboard and acrylic - very fun! We'll do a class on it as soon as I put it together - I'm thinking it'll be a great Mother's Day gift!! (hope my mom doesn't read this!!)

I'll be posting photos as soon as I can!

March Maddness Sneak Peak

I'm so excited about our March line of papers! We'll be using Tinkering Ink for the first time this month! I have always been attracted to their paper. They just came out with a beautiful line of papers, Wild Woodlands, and it is just gorgeous!! The colors are so pretty, the designs amazing, just a fun and vibrant line. I can't wait to sit and play with them. Look at these bits and pieces die cuts and the oh-so-fun monogram letters!!! Can't wait!!!

The second line of papers is a brand new one from Dream Street. Its actually 2 lines mixed that are just nice rich colors, patterns, and a fun numbers page. Lots of greens for St. Patty's, or anything else! Really a fun line...

This kit will also include 5 different ribbons (4- 1 yard and 1- 2ft. lengths), and 1 each of 4 different antique copper photo turns by American Crafts. And I always seem to find more fun extras to throw in there too!! This March line doesn't release until mid-March, but you can pre-order now before they run out! Just click on the "one month" option on the JOIN page and let me know in the comments that you are pre-ordering the March kit.

Keep checking back for layout ideas with this kit. We have two new designers this month that I am SUPER excited about, and I can't wait to see what they do with this kit!!!

Album Class This Month

Hey friends!
I know several of you would like to get together for another chance at the mini album from this month's kit (see photos below)! This album was so fun to do! You can choose your own content for your album, but I ended up doing mine as a story book. I told the full length version of how my husband and I met almost 14 years ago! It was so much fun to sit down and recall all those little details of that fateful day in the little train station in Belgium! I didn't have very many photos, since for one, I didn't know that day was going to be the single most significant day of my life, and two, there was no such thing as a digital camera! But really, that's okay because I was not a pretty sight for photos anyway! Instead I chose to fill my pages with a detailed story that will be great for my kids and grandkids to read and re-read!

So join me to create this fun little album and fill it with stories or photos or both! I'll be holding a class on Saturday, February 23rd from 1-4. And if you'd like, you can stay and scrap till whenever - we'll order in dinner and maybe watch a movie while we scrap! Please RSVP by February 21st if you'd like to come. I am also willing to do a mid-week evening class if anyone is interested. Let's e-mail (jennhernandez@scrapmountain.com) and find a good day for everyone.

I'm off to CHA this weekend to pick our next several kits!!! SO excited! I'll publish some photos of the show - you all would be amazed at the show - it's a scrapbooker's fantasy! It's just a good thing you can't purchase products right then and there (you have to order them) or I'd be in big trouble with Luis!! :) Wish me luck. I'm excited to see all the new stuff the manufacturers are coming out with.

We'll talk soon!
